US invests in community renewable schemes and solar research

The US Department of Energy has announced $22 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to support community renewables projects and $52.5 million for research into concentrating solar power.

LONDON (Dow Jones)–The U.K. government needs policies that will allow the development of more nuclear power and less wind energy, the Confederation of British Industry said Monday.
